Assessment at EMS
This spring, the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) assessments will be administered to students in the state of Colorado. PARCC testing occurs in two parts. The first part (Performance Based Assessment – PBA) is given in a window from March through the beginning of April 2015.
The second part (End of Year Assessment – EOY) is given in a window from the end of April through May 2015. All students in grades 3-11 complete the English Language Arts (ELA) PARCC assessment, all students in grades 3-10 complete the math PARCC assessment, and some students in grades 11-12 complete a math PARCC assessment based upon the math course they are currently enrolled in.
ELA tests are computer-based and math tests are paper-based. If you have questions please don’t hesitate to contact Eagleview Student Office.
This spring, the Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) assessments will be administered to students in the state of Colorado. Seventh grade students will take the Social Studies assessment, and eighth graders will take the Science assessment. Both tests are computer-based. The administration window is April 13 - May 1, 2015.
Students take the STAR Reading and STAR math assessments at the beginning of the school year and again in January. Teachers may choose to participate in STAR testing in May.
