They provide our educational focus, set high expectations, and inspire teachers and students alike to do their best.","\u003Ch2>\u003Cstrong>Jamie Lester, Principal\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Cp>Jamie Lester was born in New York City and grew up between New York, San Francisco and Chicago. His parents were both educators. His father was a school Headmaster, and his mother was a second grade teacher turned children’s book author. He attended Kenyon College and studied history.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>During his junior year, he studied abroad in Australia and traveled in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, catching the travel bug. His later travels included an around-the-world backpacking trip that had him travel throughout Europe, India, Nepal, Thailand, Hong Kong and China. Mr. Lester lived in Breckenridge and Steamboat Springs before moving to Colorado Springs to attend Colorado College where he earned a Master of Education degree.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Mr. Lester began his teaching career at Eagleview Middle School as a Social Studies teacher before spending time at Discovery Canyon Campus as the Dean of Students and as an Assistant Principal. In 2018 he started his dream job, serving as the Principal at Eagleview Middle School.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Mr. Lester lives in the Eagleview community and believes strongly that this northwest corner of Colorado Springs is truly a special place. He strives to ensure that Eagleview is the middle school that he wishes that he had- a school where each child feels heard and engaged by positive adults and peers who value their unique contributions. Additionally, he believes that the arts integration approaches employed by teachers at Eagleview are deeply engaging for young people and contribute to Eagleview’s tradition of sending highly engaged and interesting young people into the world.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>When not spending time at school, Mr. Lester enjoys spending time with his family on long road trips in their camper, playing soccer and fly fishing throughout Colorado. Additionally, he enjoys taking multi-day river trips across the western United States.\u003Cstrong> \u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Ch2>\u003Cstrong>Amy Hamilton, Assistant Principal\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Cp>Amy Hamilton is a native of Detroit, Michigan, landing in Colorado Springs after a ten-year stint in Northern California. She received her undergraduate degree in education from the University of Michigan and her master's degree in Leadership from Regis University.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Amy has worked exclusively in the middle school, as a teacher and administrator, because she feels students at this age are in the sweet spot of learning and growing, both academically and socially\u002Femotionally. She was a Language Arts teacher at Discovery Canyon Campus in D20 for nine years before serving as their Dean of Students. Amy joined the Eagleview family in 2022 as an Assistant Principal.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>After sending both of her children through Eagleview, she is thrilled to help lead this wonderfully unique and accepting community.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Ch2>\u003Cstrong>Jen White, Assistant Principal\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Cp>Jennifer White is a native of Colorado Springs, growing up in the Widefield area and graduating from Widefield High School. She received her bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Colorado State University. Jennifer earned a master's degree from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs in Curriculum and Instruction along with an additional master's degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. Jennifer has been in education for 26 years starting at Sand Creek High School as a science teacher\u002Fathletic trainer and then teaching science in Districts 8 and 20. For the last six years, Jennifer has been in administration in Districts 3 and 20.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Mrs. White is married to her husband of 25 years and has three children. Their daughter is a Speech-Language Pathologist in Virginia; their son is a college student attending Vanderbilt University; and their youngest daughter is a student in District 11. Activities that Jennifer enjoys are watching and playing sports, going to the movies, and spending time outdoors. Jennifer firmly believes that all students can learn.
