Integration - Education by Design","Eagleview Middle School is different when it comes to the arts. Over the last fifteen years, we have deepened core learning with an arts integrated approach. We believe a meaningful connection to the arts results in more well-rounded individuals.","\u003Ch2>More than an Art Class\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Cp>Arts integration is an approach to teaching and learning where content standards are taught with, in and through the arts.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Ch2>Benefits to Students\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Cp>An essential question core teachers ask themselves is \"what do I want my students to know and be able to do?\" Using an arts integrated approach, when appropriate, the teacher starts with core content standards and then incorporates an arts related curriculum.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Teachers often incorporate concept demonstration into their teaching strategy and repeat this over time in different subjects. In some instances, a students explore two standards deeply, for example, the development of characterization in literature alongside a study of rule-of-thirds in photography.
