Fall of 2020

We are working closely with High Trails/D20 to plan for the fall and adjust as needed to the circumstances as they evolve. Right now we are planning on a traditional season. You can see the health and sanitation practices in place up at High Trails here. We will update you should modifications be necessary to the fall season as planned.

High Trails Basics

What is High Trails?

High Trails is an integral part of the sixth-grade curriculum in Academy School District 20. It is a four-day, three night outdoor-education experience located in Florissant, Colorado. At High Trails, students will study many phases of the middle-school curriculum: ecology, history, conservation, geology, astronomy, nature crafts, as well as the responsible use of the outdoors for recreational purposes. Responsibility, self-reliance, leadership, and friendship also grow during the experience. Our goal is to have No Child Left Inside and our school will work with families to accommodate the needs of as many families as possible.
