Students and parents, please take 2-minutes and watch this quick tutorial on the new Infinite Campus virtual attendance feature.
Regular attendance is a key factor in student achievement.
When your child is absent from school, in order for the absence to be excused we need a parent to inform the school attendance office by calling 234-3440. If you are unable to reach us, please leave a voicemail for Attendance or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please include your name, student name, grade, hybrid group (A, B or synchronous), phone number and reason for absence. We appreciate your help in this matter.
When absences occur, they will be treated as either excused or unexcused. In accordance with D20 Policy JE, excused absences are defined as those approved by the administration, caused by temporary illness or injury, caused by a physical, emotional or mental disability or caused by suspension or being in the custody of law enforcement authorities. If the absence does not fall within one of these four categories, it will be considered unexcused. Medical notes may be requested if a student has excessive absences.
If you know that your child will be out for multiple days, you may fill out an Extended Absence Form or you can obtain one from the attendance office.
Late Arrival to School
When students arrive late to school, a parent must call ahead or accompany their child into the building to check them in at the Attendance Office. If a student has an early morning absence, the parent may call or write a note stating the reason for late arrival. Before going to class, all late arriving students must report to the Attendance Office for an “Excused Admit Slip.” Any student checking in without parent contact is unexcused.
For safety and security reasons, students will not be released to any adult or sibling not listed as Guardian in Infinite Campus. The exception to this is prior approval from the Guardian by phone call or note, naming the person that will be signing out the student. District 20 requires Photo ID to check a student out of school.
Messages and Deliveries
Due to Covid restrictions, we will not accept food deliveries. If your student needs a lunch, one will be provided.
Messages for students should be left with the attendance office. Please call prior to 2:30pm to request to have messages delivered to your student on school days. Students will not be called to the telephone during school.
