What inspired you to choose your career path?

I have always had a heart for junior high and high school students. This job was actually not one I was looking for, but the opportunity popped up in the perfect timing and I have loved it. Knowing that middle school is one of the most formational times in a person's life, I was excited to have the opportunity to work in a place where I could truly make a difference in the lives of students.

What is your most memorable experience at Eagleview?

I have only been at Eagleview for two years, and there have already been so many amazing experiences. One that I know will stick with me is the St. Baldrick's fundraiser we recently hosted. Seeing our students step up to raise money and even shave their heads to raise awareness for such a good cause warmed my heart so much. And hearing some of our students explain why they chose to participate in this fundraiser was incredible. I am convinced our students are the very BEST!

What are your interests outside of the classroom/office?

In my free time, I am a youth leader at my church, I love to do anything outside - hiking, kayaking, camping, etc., I am a huge travel junkie and love to experience new places and cultures, I enjoy writing and photography, and I am a total fanatic of the Savannah Bananas.

How does your work at Eagleview impact student's lives?

As a secretary, I do not work directly with students every day. However, I do my best to help students feel seen, known, and valued. Simply smiling at each student who comes through the office, remembering their names, and taking time to listen when they have something to share are all ways I try to show our students that they matter and that there are people all around our school who care.
